The House Judiciary Committee discussed the Texas abortion law that limits the procedure before a heartbeat is detected. Rep. Mike Johnson repeatedly asked, “when you dismember something in the womb, is that a human being or not? It’s a living being, yes or no?” The two abortion advocates at the hearing deflected the questions prompting Johnson to say, “You know, if we were in a courtroom I would say that that’s nonresponsive,” Johnson said.
