The Lincoln Project resurrected lies from 2017 to smear Virginia Governor candidate Glenn Youngkin. The company sent protesters to a Youngkin rally demanding Youngkin denounce a statement CNN claimed President Trump made when he spoke in Virginia four years ago. CNN edited the speech, crafting it to sound like Trump called neo-Nazis and white nationalists “fine people” and slandered him for not condemning the groups. CNN was called out for the deception right away, even by one of their contributors.
