Former NFL star Colin Kaepernick likens being an NFL player to slavery in his new Netflix six-part docudrama series Colin in Black and White. Kaepernick, who made over $43 million during his six-year NFL career, seems to have forgotten that, unlike slaves, pro athletes volunteer to play the game they love and receive millions in compensation. One independent journalist also noted, “If Kaepernick wants to learn about slavery he could start by asking his employer Nike how they produce goods in China.”
