The famine in North Korea makes the situation even more difficult for the church there. In the past, Kim Jong-Un has been reluctant to admit any crisis but, now he refers to the famine as another ‘Arduous March,’ which was a period of extreme famine during the 1990s when 2-3 million people died in North Korea. The food crisis is a call to pray and help more than 400,000 Christians under the oppressive Kim regime.
