Washington State Patrol Officer Resigns Because of State Vaccine Mandate

Objectivity 4.2 | Credibility 4.7 | Relevance 4.4

Robert LaMay, a Washington State Patrol Officer, chose not to comply with the state’s vaccine mandate and resigned after 22 years of service. The mandate allows for a medical or religious exemption but, the exemption only ensures continued employment if a job accommodation can be made. The only accommodation offered LaMay would require him to move and take a pay cut.
