Leilani Lutali, a Colorado woman with stage 5 renal failure, said she received a letter from UCHealth in September warning that she and her kidney donor, Jaimee Fougner, have 30 days to begin the vaccine process. They were warned that refusal of the vaccine would result in removal from the kidney transplant list. Fougner described the hospital as taking her friend’s life hostage with the mandate.
