Jesus was right when he said in the last days many will come and deceive many. Ibram X. Kendi claimed in a recent interview that Jesus was a revolutionary who came to free the oppressed from the clutches of empire, whether it be the Roman Empire or the American Empire. He also goes on to claim that “White Evangelical Theology†portrays Jesus as a white man who came to save black people because, as he claims, this theology sees black people as lesser. On the other hand, the theology that he says is true is Liberation Theology or Black Liberation Theology, which portrays Jesus as a revolutionary who came to save people from Empire.
