The Taliban opened fire to disperse a protest of women gathered in front of a school in Kabul to fight for girls’ rights to attend school. The small protest consisted of six women and the Taliban said they could protest as long as they notified the respective security authorities about the gathering. The women from the “Spontaneous Movement of Afghan Women Activists” took refuge inside the school and thankfully were unharmed.
