Objectivity 4.1 | Credibility 4.6 | Relevance 4.5

China pledged to send $31 million worth of humanitarian help to the Taliban Regime in Afghanistan, filling the gap the U.S. and NATO allies left in the country. China’s goal on its growing relationship with the Taliban is to get access to the $1 trillion in mineral reserves Afghanistan possess. China also wants Taliban’s help with controlling some Islamic extremists near China’s border. Xi Jinping saw Biden’s catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan and capitalized  on the opportunity for expansion on the international political stage.
