France to Allow Free Birth Control to All Women Under Age 25

Objectivity 3.5 | Credibility 3.5 | Relevance 4.0

While abortions have been legal in France for women of all ages since 2012, they now feel the need to legalize birth control to all women age 25 and under. This is set to take effect on January first, 2022. Suzy Rojtman, a spokesman for a French women’s “rights” group says it is a very positive thing and hopes that politicians won’t use this as a loophole to avoid extending the abortion time limit. It is currently set at twelve to fourteen weeks. Unfortunately for France, this is a sad decision that will result in more chaos and hardship in terms of “unwanted” pregnancies. Also, the long term affects of birth control in women still has not been studied in depth.
