Texas Approves New Law Restricting Abortions After Fetal Heartbeat

Objectivity 4.6 | Credibility 4.3 | Relevance 4.7

The Heartbeat Bill will go into effect in Texas, making illegal to perform an abortion after the fetus has a heartbeat. Abortion providers and opponents asked the Supreme Court to overturn the law. The new law also allows private citizens to sue abortion providers or anybody helping other person to get an abortion after a heartbeat is detected. Since the private citizen and not the State enforcing the law, Abortion providers have no one to sue.
