Objectivity 3.8 | Credibility 4.5 | Relevance 4.0

A local Australian government is facing an investigation after shocking reports surfaced of a group of dogs that were prepared to be sent to a rescue shelter were instead shot and killed by local officials. This was apparently done in order to prevent shelter volunteers from traveling and potentially transmitting covid. In a statement obtained by a spokesperson for the Office of Local Government said, “OLG has been informed that the council decided to take this course of action to protect its employees and community, including vulnerable Aboriginal populations, from the risk of COVID-19 transmission.” Australia’s cure is worse than the virus itself.
