A growing list of Republican lawmakers in both houses of congress is calling for the Biden’s removal from office, based on the provisions of the 25th amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which grants Congress the power to remove a president deemed physically or mentally unfit to conduct the duties of his office.
President Donald Trump added to the chorus of voices calling for Biden’s resignation or removal, explaining, “It is time for Joe Biden to resign in disgrace for what he has allowed to happen to Afghanistan.” As images of the preventable tragedy unfold, it is becoming harder to disagree with that sentiment.
