Former President Barack Obama celebrated his 60th birthday this past weekend at his 12 million dollar estate on Martha’s Vineyard. The event was planned to host over 500 people. After receiving criticism for the large gathering at a time with the CoVid-19 Delta variant is spreading, Obama’s team decided the party would be “scaled back.†Attendees were also photographed ignoring masking and social distancing guidelines. Critics have pointed to the elegant party as the latest example of hypocrisy among Democratic leaders—who often call for overbearing masking and lockdown policies while ignoring the rules they set for others.
