Democrats Push for $3.5T Package as $1T Infrastructure Bill Passes in Senate

Objectivity 3.2 | Credibility 4.5 | Relevance 4.3

After a long battle for the $1 trillion “everything but” infrastructure bill, the bill was finally passed in the Senate with a bipartisan vote.  However, the bipartisan vibe did not last very long as Democrat leader Chuck Schumer called for debate on an additional $3.5 trillion budget proposal for expenditures such as universal pre-kindergarten, expanded Medicare access, two free years of community college, subsidized child care, legalizing undocumented immigrants, and “green” climate initiatives. The push for even more spending is raising serious concerns about run-away inflation and an exploding budget deficit.
