After a long battle for the $1 trillion “everything but†infrastructure bill, the bill was finally passed in the Senate with a bipartisan vote. However, the bipartisan vibe did not last very long as Democrat leader Chuck Schumer called for debate on an additional $3.5 trillion budget proposal for expenditures such as universal pre-kindergarten, expanded Medicare access, two free years of community college, subsidized child care, legalizing undocumented immigrants, and “green†climate initiatives. The push for even more spending is raising serious concerns about run-away inflation and an exploding budget deficit.
