Since history seems to repeat itself, this article illumines what recent history reveals about the true purpose and value of gun rights. As Americans, understanding what has happened in other countries in the last one hundred years should bring a heightened sense of awareness to the rising threat to our freedoms posed by anti-gun laws. As a right that serves to protect all of the other consititutional rights and liberties we cherish, protecting our second amendment rights is now more important than ever.
