Cuba Shakes Its Shackles

Objectivity 4.6 | Credibility 4.7 | Relevance 4.8

Throughout the island of Cuba, people rose up in protests against the communist regime that has been in place since 1959. The protests sparked because of the lack of food, inflation, and oppression in the country. Cuba’s president, Diaz Canel, called on his supporters to fight for the “revolution” – which is the communist movement. Despite criminal charges and imprisonment, critics of the government rose up in protest for the first in decades. The Cuban people still have hope for a free tomorrow.
