Canadian Politician Arrested For Campaigning

Objectivity 3.0 | Credibility 3.6 | Relevance 4.5

While campaigning for the next federal election, Maxime Bernier, the leader of the People’s Party of Canada was arrested Friday afternoon for breaking Manitoba’s crazy health regulations. Failing to comply to a 14-day quarantine upon arrival and having a limit of 5 people in an outdoor event is what led the Canadian politician to jail. However, he was released late Friday night on a $1,000 bail. Bernier is expected to return to court and plead his case at the end of July.
