On Monday, Japan’s deputy defense minister said it was necessary to “wake up” to China’s pressure on Taiwan and protect the island “as a democratic country.” Also adding that he wanted to see America “stronger, stronger, and stronger†to show deterrence to China and Russia. As cooperation grows between the CCP and Russia, Japan hopes to counter by boosting its “technological collaboration†with the U.S.
